Block Heavy & Highway Products Co., formerly known as Blue Grass Steel Co., manufactures and distributes products for use in the concrete construction of highways, interstates, airports and distribution centers. The sales office for this division is headquartered in Bettendorf, Iowa with satellite sales offices in Chicago, Illinois, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Waynesville, Missouri. The manufacturing operations are located in Blue Grass, Iowa and Valparaiso, Indiana. The combined manufacturing capabilities of these two locations allow Block Heavy & Highway to lead the industry in quality products for reinforcing joints in concrete pavement with products such as dowel assemblies, tie bar assemblies and individual  dowels for projects from California to Pennsylvania.
