Established in 1884, W.G. Block Co. has grown from a distributor of coal and ice to a manufacturer of concrete, sand and fabricated steel products. As a closely held family business, W.G. Block Company has evolved from its early roots as one of Iowa’s largest distributors of coal to a well diversified company focused upon the manufacturing of natural aggregates, ready mix concrete and fabricated wire and steel products for the road construction marketplace.
